Justice for ALL immigrants.

We oppose the cruel, inhumane and unjustified separation of children from their parents along the US border with Mexico and at other ports of entry into the U.S. We protest the appalling conditions in which families, and indeed all migrants, are kept. We protest the irreversible trauma that has already been perpetrated on these children and their parents for the crime of seeking a better life.

To separate immigrant families, victims of violence, hunger and poverty, is to re-violate them. Children as young as 18 months have been torn from their mother’s arms by the US. government. This is violent abuse. These families are victimized not only by having to flee for their lives from poverty violence and hunger, but re-victimized by the government they turn to for help. We oppose the inhumane policies of the Trump Administration and previous administrations, Border Patrol, and I.C.E. and we call for immediate reform.

We envision a future in which all our immigration policies are humane and compassionate. We will work as long as it is necessary to achieve that aim.

While our current efforts are focused on the humanitarian crisis in the USA, we recognize that this is a global crisis and that governments are escalating similar xenophobic, inhumane policies at borders worldwide. We stand in solidarity with all people worldwide who are fighting for human rights for all immigrants and refugees.
