A second child has died after being detained
Another young girl has died after being detained by U.S. immigration enforcement agencies. Congress must act. Please CALL YOUR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS to tell them you demand:
accountability for the welfare of all children in CPB or ICE custody, whatever their immigration status;
transparency about what happened to the 7 year old who died in custody last week;
sponsorship for detained children within 28 days, with no fingerprinting of sponsors;
closure of detention centers, which now hold 12,000 children
As the child detention camp at Tornillo continues to grow, we are co-sponsoring a rally there tomorrow to demand its closure: https://www.facebook.com/events/1886544954798062/
Can’t make it to Tornillo tomorrow? Participate by watching the livestream on Act.TV’s Facebook page here.
